Directors


Alun Rosser

Alun Rosser is a graduate of Aberystwyth University, where he obtained an honours degree in law.  He qualified as a solicitor in 1980 and has extensive experience in non-contentious law, including residential and commercial property, wills, trusts and probate.



Paul Thomas Paul Thomas studied at University College Cardiff and the College of Law Guildford, qualifying as a Solicitor in 1983. Paul heads up RTL’s Company & Commercial Department.

Matthew Lewis

Matthew Lewis qualified in 1998. He plays a prominent role in growing the practice and in the development of the nationwide direct conveyancing department, fostering relationships with high street lenders, estate agency chains and other intermediaries. Matthew heads-up RTL’s National Conveyancing department.

Shian Hughes

Shian Hughes, a graduate of Aberystwyth University, qualified as a Solicitor in 1999, joining RTL Solicitors when it opened in April, 2002. Shian, a welsh speaker, was made a Partner in 2003 and currently offers a conveyancing service to our welsh-speaking clients. Shian is Head of Wills & Probate, specialising in Inheritance Tax Planning,Trusts & Powers of Attorney. Appointed as a Director of the firm in March, 2007.



Michael Smith

Michael Smith obtained his LLB Honours Degree from the University of Southampton and completed his LPC at the Cardiff Law School.  Having spent some time working for a legal firm in Hong Kong, Michael joined RTL Solicitors as a legal assistant in 2002.  He began his training contract at the beginning of 2003, qualified as a Solicitor in 2004, and now specialises in volume residential conveyancing for one of RTL’s national contracts.  Appointed as a Director of the firm in March, 2007.

 



Michael Fallon

Michael Fallon, originally from Ireland, re-located to Cardiff and obtained his LLB Honours Degree and LPC at the University of Glamorgan.  Michael joined RTL Solicitors as a legal assistant in 2003, began his training contract in 2004 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2006.  Michael now specialises in residential volume conveyancing for one of RTL’s national contracts.  Appointed as a Director of the firm in March, 2007.
